Gary was born and raised in North York, Toronto and earned two degrees at Humber College for Business and Marketing. From the age of 11, Gary spent his summers working for his father’s homebuilding company, Arthur Blakely Homes. With his ‘hard-driven’ father, Gary has worked in every capacity of the homebuilding business; from laboring on the site with various contractors, to managing the office, and ultimately taking over the company in 1990. Arthur Blakely Homes started building semi-custom homes in Scarborough in the 1950’s, and gradually moved west, contributing to well known and prestigious communities such as Sherwood Forest in Mississauga, Glen Abbey in Oakville, Streetsville Glen in Brampton, and of course Millcroft in Burlington. In the past couple of years, Gary has also built several custom homes in downtown Oakville. In 1990, he and his wife Terri moved to Burlington, and have been happily raising their family of teenage twin sons (Sam and Jake), and their younger daughter (Olivia). Gary has volunteered extensively in the Burlington community, coaching and convening his children’s various sports teams of hockey, soccer and football. This past year, Gary decided to expand his knowledge and has now become a Licensed Real Estate Sales Representative with his long time friend and associate, Jamie Edwards. Gary’s extensive knowledge of the homebuilding industry, construction and the Real Estate market make him an exceptional ‘go – to ‘ person for all of your real estate needs.
